Fill up those gas tanks this week! Not only did California lose its title of having the most expensive gas prices in America, but starting in July, prepare for the 8% gas tax. The tax comes months after the state legislature passed a gas tax bill under Gavin Newsom back in March.
Last week, California moved down to the number 2 spot of having the most expensive gallon of gas, behind Washington. According to AAA, the average price for a gallon of regular gas on Monday came to $4.977 in Washington and $4.843 in California.
