Key Responsibilities:
Client Meetings & Presentations: Conduct face-to-face meetings to present products and services, understand client needs, and propose tailored solutions.
Sales Development:
Drive new business through regular and prospective customer visits.
Demonstrate products, provide essential information (e.g., pricing, availability, and market trends), and complete sales contracts.
Collect receivables in a timely manner.
Market Research: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to position products effectively.
Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships, provide after-sales support, and address customer inquiries or complaints.
Product Expertise: Maintain comprehensive knowledge of fertilizers, crop protection, irrigation supplies, and other agricultural products.
Collaboration: Partner with internal teams (e.g., marketing and product development) to refine sales strategies and enhance product offerings.
Reporting: Provide regular sales updates and market insights to management.
Event Representation: Promote products at trade shows and conferences.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of related sales experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PCA or CCA certifications preferred but not required.
Strong knowledge of fertilizers, crop protection, irrigation supplies, and related field equipment.
Proven ability to educate and influence clients on product capabilities.
Existing relationships within the agricultural industry are highly desirable.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM software is a plus.
Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly valued.
Valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
Physically able to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 50 lbs and work in outdoor conditions.
