Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Meetings & Presentations: Conduct face-to-face meetings to present products and services, understand client needs, and propose tailored solutions.

  • Sales Development:

  • Drive new business through regular and prospective customer visits.

  • Demonstrate products, provide essential information (e.g., pricing, availability, and market trends), and complete sales contracts.

  • Collect receivables in a timely manner.

  • Market Research: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to position products effectively.

  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships, provide after-sales support, and address customer inquiries or complaints.

  • Product Expertise: Maintain comprehensive knowledge of fertilizers, crop protection, irrigation supplies, and other agricultural products.

  • Collaboration: Partner with internal teams (e.g., marketing and product development) to refine sales strategies and enhance product offerings.

  • Reporting: Provide regular sales updates and market insights to management.

  • Event Representation: Promote products at trade shows and conferences.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years of related sales experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • PCA or CCA certifications preferred but not required.

  • Strong knowledge of fertilizers, crop protection, irrigation supplies, and related field equipment.

  • Proven ability to educate and influence clients on product capabilities.

  • Existing relationships within the agricultural industry are highly desirable.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM software is a plus.

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly valued.

  • Valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.

  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

  • Physically able to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 50 lbs and work in outdoor conditions.
