On Tuesday, the USDA announced a $39 million purchase of table grapes for nutrition and school lunch programs.
According to the award document, the grapes were purchased on an f.o.b. destination basis, with deliveries being made from July 31 through December 13, 2023.
The USDA says the total volume purchased is 1.95 million 19lb cartons, with prices ranging from $15.37 to $26.97 per carton. According to the purchase summary, the entire grape purchase totals $39.26 million.
